SOUL CARE WITH PHIL STROUT
Many of us struggle with caring for our souls. We fight to make space to be quiet, to enjoy God's presence, to immerse ourselves in the Scriptures, and to cultivate the secret hidden life with Jesus. As a result, we live with low grade guilt, a thrumming anxiety that we're simply not doing enough to pursue the One who first loved us.
Enter Phil Strout. When Phil became our National Director, he immediately made the question, "How's Your Soul?" a foundation stone in his leadership of the Vineyard. Shortly after he assumed the role, a booklet came out that you can find HERE.
This is why we asked Phil to do our very first webinar here at Vineyard Northeast Worship. As worship leaders and worship team members, we're asked to lead people into the throne room of God. In this webinar, Phil challenges us that we're to already be there ourselves. And with that challenge, came lots of great content as well as a surprise: we actually spent time soaking in Matthew 6:1-4. Who knew that a webinar could be the vehicle for God's presence? Time and time again, God shows us that there is nothing that can stand in the way of His pursuit of us. So grateful.
For those of you who missed the webinar, or who would like to revisit some of the important things that Phil said, we're posting the full recording of the webinar here.
In this webinar, listen for:
1) The two questions Phil asks of every worship leader.
2) How marriage and soul care are inextricably tied.
3) How to discover what brings "consolation" to our souls.
